Are you interested in being a candidate?

Here is what you need to know about the election process.

1. The election week starts with the student political parties bringing out a list of their candidates that represent every specific faculty at the University of Amsterdam. These candidates will also choose a topic to campaign about.

2. The parties, alongside the candidates, campaign for the whole week, trying to get the students on board with the ideas presented and persuade them to gain their votes. It is important to note that all parties have to comply with the code of conduct that has been established and agreed by the student parties and the university. Such rules include no cheating, vandalism and many more.

3. After the votes are counted, the results are shared at the end of the week by the Rector Magnificus, which lets the student body know how many seats every party has been allocated from every faculty and which candidates got them.
